Contemporary Frescoes

Slovene churches are famous for their frescos. Maja Šubic still uses the technique but updates it to a reflect current issues. Her latest work is based around Charles Darwin's "Voyage of the H.M. Beagle" and reflects the journey through stone frescos in the form of postage stamps.

During September Maja will hold workshops in Shrewsbury leading to an exhibition in the new year as part of the Darwin Festival.
